Where is the hairport?

And why is my gran going there? And why is there a suitcase in the hall?

I don't understand. I think gran's hair looks nice as it is.

Note to self

We are up to:
Monday, February 05, 2007
in reading Mao's Mews. When we wake up in the morning, after we play thundering herd of elephants on mom, and after she gets her cup of tea - we can go back to reading Mao's blog. We were enjoying it until mom fell asleep at 11.15pm.

What I found in my stocking...

In my Christmas stocking I found, a first class airline ticket to Rome,

a voucher for a defensive driving course with the Italian police in a Lamborghini Gallardo,

and the prettiest red FBI beanie I have ever seen!

Me and my boy at Christmas

This is my boy - I own him. We are playing in the new cool, palm tree scratching post that we got for Christmas. We can sit on the top, and we can whap the monkey! And Pyewacket can sit in the bottom of it.

My boy loves me best. We are going to open my stocking together. I wonder why there is always candy I don't like in my stocking? I wonder that every year.

It's Christmas all day!

We were in The Santa Caper and we got a present from Sassy! She's being very generous to all of her friends she met this year. Woo hoo!

We got a book and a gift card set and a bowl for each of us! I'm having the biggest bowl 'cause I'm top cat. Trixie will think that SHE needs the biggest bowl as she is the fattest. And Pye will think that it's hers... because she's the Siamese.

More Christmas lights

Christmas in Canberra

What's that Santa is singing?

"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,
And when the white runs out I'll start on the red, thanks!"

Oh dear! I think Trixie and Pyewacket have upset Santa! Fancy fighting on his lap like that!

Our idea of a good Christmas present for Mom

Last Christmas mom was down in the dumps 'cause she didn't have beautiful Persia any more. So we got her a new cuddly pet called Fluffy. Only thing is, he wouldn't use a litter box and now one of us has to let him out, then bring him back in every few hours. He's very good and always comes when he's called.

After Trixie sat on, I mean caught, I mean played with the convict fish for a day until it wasn't any good any more, I mean, it wanted to sleep for a very long time - we needed a new fish for our kitchen fish tank. So Pyewacket went out all by herself and got a very special one.

Trixie overheard mom saying that she used to keep budgies, and that gave her an idea. Um, we're not too sure about it though, Trix. What do others think?

As you can see, we have had some great gift ideas for our mom. We think the best one this year might be the Artsy Catsy phone charm from Rocky, that arrived in the mail yesterday. We have had Trixie on her harness and leash waiting for it down at the mailbox.

Easy like Sunday morning

I didn't realise that I might feel lonely on my little Hawaiian getaway.

So I sent the jet back for my friend - Tigger!

And do you know who came on the jet with Mr Tigger? Our beautiful Zoey from Zoolatry. Oh, I'm a lucky cat to have such good friends to keep me company.

Saturday, December 8, 2007

Where did you say Tigger went today?

Excuse me, WHOSE lap is that?

Cast of CCSI go on a jaunt!

To gay Paree!

You can only see the topcatrules cats as all the other cast members are being very good and are sitting in their seats properly with seatbelts on.

Oh, and I don't really think Yao-lin is too impressed with Trixie's driving. This is a pic of him snapped by the border guard just after Monte Carlo. The guard was a big fan of Yao-lin's.

I'm dreaming... of a blue Christmas

Oh dear, Trixie has temporarily migrated to my blog. She's put on a lot of weight lately (that Science Diet REALLY tastes good!) and Pye is being very Pyeish about it.
And now that Pye has the new computer, she's really getting to be a bit much!

Happy birthday to the mom of Miss Peach

Today was a very special day for us. We got a new Sony Vaio and so were able to attend the birthday afternoon tea for the mom of our beautiful Miss Peach. We all wore the hats she had waiting for us, ate lemon poppy seed cake with creme cheese frosting and Miss Peach wrapped a slice in a beautiful napkin for us to take home to our mom.

We all drank several cups of delicious tea - Pye had iced tea with lots of sugar, Tigger had Orange Pekoe and Trixie had Twinings Lemon tea.
We each had a scone with jam on it and when Pye dropped her scone face down on the carpet we were so embarrassed but gracious Miss Peach was so pleasant about it, and after all, Pyewacket did lick it all up. Just as well!

A traghetto ride across a canal in Venice

It's Sunday fun day! Pyewacket and Trixie and I were looking through our photo album and this is another of the pictures from when She and Alessandro went to Venice at the end of September. They didn't realise that we tagged along...

Here we are crossing a canal outside the Ca D'Oro, on a traghetto! They are just like a gondola, but instead of costing 60 euros or more, they cost half a euro per person. You get to ride across the Grand Canal. Most of the locals stand up for the crossing but we sat down down, and I was scared so I sat on some strange man's lap! And there was a big, black woofie sitting there staring at me!

Oh, that's Pye in the middle and Trixie up the back. See the guy rowing at the back talking on his mobile phone? Oh, and Alessandro LOVED riding the traghetto.

No Pyewacket - you can't drive!

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way

Lord Byron got it just right

She walks in beauty like the night

Of cloudless climes and starry skies;

And all that's best of dark and bright

Meets in her aspect and her eyes:

Thus mellow'd to that tender light

Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

Do YOU have two friends called Brenda from Canada?

We do. The one who is actually living in Canada right now sent us this great youtube clip and then we found the follow up.

The neighbour who is outside edging his lawn was just staring up at our house as She was laughing out loud so much at the second clip. He must be wondering if She is laughing at him. No, She wishes someone would edge OUR lawn!

Tigger the FBI CAT - Secret Agent Training

I love Zoolatry. They care about me. My mom is too darn lazy. End of year reports, meetings with school executive staff to discuss her class for next year, two different pulled muscles and now finally the really lame excuse of shocking toothache over five weeks straight that ended forever today after a visit to the dentist.

Couldn't she make up better excuses than that? Really!

*shaking_head_in_disbelief* So here is what I have been up to this week (as helped by Zoolatry.)

Tigger has arrived at the J.Edgar Hoover building, official FBI headquarters in Washington, DC for more "secret agent" training.

Then, the trainees group moved on to Quantico (Virginia) for more intense training.

Tigger had to learn some "secret signals" and quickly discovered her tail would go up, go down, curl all around... signaling another agent of her intentions.

Their instructors also advised they have and maintain "secret hiding places" and Tigger found a very special one (left background of picture) but is hoping neither Pye nor Trixie discover it as well.

And tools were given out during training, like the "I Spy Eye" to help track runaway pawprints.

Lastly, all the trainees were told they must have "secret names"... Tigger is still pondering this dilemma...
and has only gotten so far as possibly the acronym "FIBCT"...
Fearless Incredible Bad-To-The-Bone Cat Tigger.

Lovely Momo from Sydney has kindly given me an award. It made my day.

It was for:

"making the blog their own, staying with it, interacting with the readers, and just plain having fun."

Thank you so much!

Mafia Movie Monday

Was that you I saw touching my bat?

We all went to a party in Italy to watch Italian movies. Here is us getting ready to go.

Look, did I say you could touch my bat with your curser? If you wake him up he flies all around and then he gets too tired to play with me.

Far Out Friday Road Trip

Dragan hasn't sold his pink BMW yet. But he did get paid tonight to drive some kids to their school "formal". I used my F.B.I. issue computer to get onto Google maps and give him directions to their house while he was on the car phone. Luckily he finished driving those teenagers really early and was able to bring the car over.

Pye got impatient while we were waiting and was leaning out the living room hollering out, "Dude! Where's my car?" I was so embarrassed. A neighbour was walking his woofie up our street and they stared at us!

Then... we went on a ROAD TRIP! Dragan said we could only borrow the car if we brought him back something to eat. So we got him...

Chinese food!

Oh and the two teenagers were dressed like fairies for their "formal" and their dresses dropped glitter all over the inside of the car. Dragan didn't bother to vacuum it before he lent it to us and now we have glitter stuck to our fur.

Race Day Tuesday

I had the day off today - it was our national horse race day. So I put on my fancy hat and was going to wear it to the track, but...

... *sniff* ... Pyewacket laughed at me.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

On my day off, I was sorting out my F.B.I. files and photos and I found this one from last month when She and Him went to Venice and they thought they left us safely at home. Look again!

Freaky Friday

I was snoopin' around a bit last night and I overheard Her on the phone to her friend Sylvia, talking about what us cats had been up to. Well, She said that cats whose names started with "T" had been jolly well perfect lately. H'mm, whoever said eavesdroppers never hear anything good about themselves? *smirk*

But Holy Halloweens! You should have heard what She was telling Sylvia about Pye. It was all about how Pye slaps her face in the middle of the night when she wants the covers lifted up. And then how Pye bunny kicks her every few minutes cause she wants more room.

She actually said she was glad she had the two of us, (Trixie and me) and it was lucky there was only ONE Siamese as sometimes they can be a BIT tricky!

Well, won't she get a surprise when she goes to make her cappuccino in the morning?

Meet the Parents

Someone said they were confused, so I thought I'd do an introduction. Firstly there's me. I'm Tigger, and I'm a wise woman cat - I'm 8 and I like to check things out. That's how I got the job with the F.B.I. - well, along with my high qualifications in hacking. I'm the best hacker She has ever seen.

Who is She? She's the author of Kaleidoscope, 129 posts related to travel. She has a suitcase collection. She likes to go to Italy. A lot!

I own a boy - he's 19. He drives Her old sports car, a Fiat X1/9.

I laugh at him a lot these days as he walks around behind Pyewacket under her spell.

H'mm - Pye is the new Siamese to replace the other one that I was REALLY fond of, *sniff*. Pye is eight months old and on a good day we call her the Holy Terror.

Trixie is... well, she's not really a cat, she's a little girl, dressed in a black and white tuxedo. Trixie also owns a boy who is 16 and who just went on a trip to Italy and Dubai with Her. You can read about that in his blog, Alessandro's trip. He's a pool shark. Here he is in our friend Dragan's pink BMW.

All the people on the blogs who come in and leave messages for Ms. S - well, She's a teacher and She has Her kids up on websites too, just like Her cats. They want Her to mark their homework or read their stories in their blogs. She has 17 kids with blogs!

Here's another picture of my boy. I got him when he was 11. I've had him for years. We share a room.

Message from Pye at topcatrules

Pyewacket is hissing at me cause I'm getting getting her messages. She wants to know if it is the log in?

After you write her a message, you have 3 choices, log in (to blog.com) or Other (which she uses all the time on blogs) or anonymous.
She says you can't "log in" cause none of you have blog.com accounts, so please use other or anonymous.

She won't stop hissing and says she will spit at me soon.

Licking kangaroos in Canberra

*sigh* I'm not allowed.

Photo Hunt Pink

We're on vacation, on another road trip. Can you tell where we are? We hope Dragan never sells his BMW, we like to joy ride in it when he's not looking. Oh, and if we get stopped for speeding, I'll just flash my badge.

Official F.B.I. warning about Venice pigeons

I received an official memo today from the Head Office that I need to share with you. It's about the pigeons.

Thursday, October 25, 2007

Wordy Wednesday - Licking pigeons in Venice - the results of my investigation

Well, that was interesting! I didn't get very far because none of the pigeons were very keen to help me find out if their feathers come off when they're licked. I think it was very mean of them, 'cause I asked ever so politely.

They all said they have enough to worry about these days as a small number of the Venice seagulls have moved right into the square and are living off the pigeons! She used to go and sit in the square every morning when she was there, and watch the day start in Venice, but on Her last two trips She has been horrified at what the seagulls have started doing, so She only goes there for a few minutes and turns Her back on them. Now we know that seagulls have to eat, but can't these huge, rogue ones go back to catching little fish and not upsetting the tourists (or the remaining pigeons)?

Here we are sitting in the chairs outside the Lavena Cafe in Piazza San Marco, just two weeks ago.
